I’m Rich, the President of the Chaiway Riders.  Welcome to our website.

If you would like to ride with bikers who happen to be Jewish, this is just the thing you’ve been waiting for!

Chaiway Riders, a Midwest Chicago-based Jewish motorcycle touring club, is open to both individuals and couples, all makes of bikes and riding experience, and whatever your Jewish identity and religious practice.

From St. Charles to Highland Park, from Wadsworth to South Shore, and all points in between, individuals and couples are invited to join the “minions” of other enthusiastic Chaiway Riders members known for their love of the road, friendship and fun.

Barry moves west,  Rich named President

Yesterday at George’s for breakfast there were about 15 members of the club present when I offered my resignation as President of the Chaiway Riders. Rich Seligman has now taken over that position and I trust some where in the near future someone may be asked to join the board and continue to develop this club.

Most of you may know that Harriet and I have decided to pack it up and leave Chicago as we are heading out to The Pacific Northwest .

So I want to thank everyone for your friendship, support  and  being part of my extended family over the last 6 years and I will miss each and everyone of you.

I have often said that future of this club is in our collective saddlebags and I know it will continue to create great events, and Rides. and most important that we are there for each other during Mitzvahs and all the other things life throws our way .

It has been a great six years from the very beginning when I first met our current members Bill L, Shira, Judy D, Irv and Andy along with a few others that are no longer part of the club and we began this journey to create a local Jewish club which reached, I believe about seventy members from the beginning of only 4 or 5.

We are currently at 50 plus members with a lot of dedication and talent amongst the membership so keep it up and drop me a note every so often.
